Where can I find a marriage license?

Answer

For Omaha area marriages, you may be able to find a record of the marriage through the index created by the Greater Omaha Genealogical Society or on our listing of Nebraska County Marriage Records on microfilm.

If you find a record of the marriage and want to get a copy of the marriage certificate, you may either contact our Local Research Help or the Greater Omaha Genealogical Society. The cost is the same and they will use the same resources (the microfilm at the Omaha Public Library).

If you still need help finding a marriage license, please feel free to ask using AskOPL, by calling W. Dale Clark Main Library at 402-444-4800, or by visiting the W. Dale Clark Main Library at the third floor reference desk where you may receive personal help with your inquiries.
