Several options! Keep in mind that items without holds will renew automatically four times, but it is possible to renew items manually as well. First, you can always log into your library account at omahalibrary.org with your library barcode and PIN, click on My Borrowing--Checked Out (drop-down menu in the upper righthand corner), and click the "renew" button beside the item.
Or you can call any branch and ask staff to renew your item for you. The number at the Main Library is 402-444-4801. If you wish to renew during a time the library is not open, you can use our automated renewal number, 402-444-4100.
There are a few circumstances that might limit the ability to renew something--most commonly, another patron may have requested it, or the item has reached its maximum number of renewals--but our staff and the automated systems will alert you to that.
