How can I request a book or other item that is not owned by Omaha Public Library? Answered By: Martha Grenzeback

If the item was published or released in the last two years, you can suggest it for purchase by Omaha Public Library by logging in here. You can then check back to get an update on your suggestion.

If it is an older item, interlibrary loan is a good option; our interlibrary loan policy and procedures are here. Note that you will be charged the postage to send the item back to the lending library (that varies depending on the weight of the item), but otherwise the service is free.

Keep in mind that rare books, which include many genealogy books, may not be available through interlibrary loan, but it never hurts to try!
