When I put a hold on "Protect and Defend" audio CD by Vince Flynn, I was put in position 6 for the 1 copy OPL owns. I looked at the Lincoln
Thanks for asking! OPL and Lincoln City Library don't share materials directly (although we have a good working relationship, more on that below) but we do both participate in a large network of libraries that can fill requests through inter-library loan. With ILL, we can broker a short-term loan of another library's material to you for just the cost of postage. You can file a request through the WorldCat network linked above or pick up a request form from your local library. That's one option if you're eager to get Protect and Defend sooner, but it's not the only course we can take.
If you commute to Lincoln regularly - I'm assuming you might, since you thought to check LCL for the audiobook - it's worth knowing that as an Omaha Public Library cardholder you're eligible for a Lincoln City Library membership as well. Drop in at any LCL branch with your OPL card and they can get you set up with normal borrower privileges in their library system.
More conveniently, we also have the audio recording of Protect and Defend in our downloadable audiobook collection, and it looks to be available now. You can download and play the audiobook on any Android or iOS device using the free Overdrive media app, or download and transfer it to an older MP3 player from a desktop computer.
And, of course, you'll stay on the list for our remaining copy. Since interest is remaining high in the audiobook, we may even be able to pick up an additional copy on SCD - but a lot of that depends on our vendors' availability and cost.
