I have placed a hold on a book that is currently showing as "on Display". Will that book be available to check out now, or will I have to wait
In most cases, we're happy to remove a book from display to fill a request - after all, our purpose in using books in displays is hoping that someone will find and want to read it! The only tricky thing is, because the book isn't in its usual 'spot' on the shelf, it may be missed as we collect requested books each day. I would encourage you to call the library where the book is showing as 'on display' directly, or if you want to email back here with the name of the book or your library card, we can follow up on it too. Once we ask the staff at that location to find the book on its display, it should be easy to get it delivered to you within a day or two (if you're at the top of the request list, of course.)
