Can I access the Proquest database?

I am looking for a story in the Washington Post from the 70's.

Thanks for asking! Unfortunately, we don't have a subscription to ProQuest at this time. Through other databases (eLibrary and Business Insights) we cover WaPo in full text starting in January 1987, but I'm afraid we don't have a product that will get you back to the 70s.

One possibility would be to use the Washington Post Archive search to find the article you're looking for and take down the citation (date, title, section, page) then submit a request for Inter-Library Loan. There might be a postage charge, but many libraries will fill article requests at very low cost. I suppose I'd say weigh the cost of your time against ProQuest's direct digital purchase price - we should be able to get it to you cheaper, but it'll take a bit more time and effort!

Thanks again for your question. Feel free to respond here or call 402-444-4800 to follow up!
