The book is American Gothic Tales. It belongs to the Millard library. I tried to log in to request it with both my Millard and Ralston card numbers but the request was denied both times. Any thoughts?

Answer

I looked you up using your email--if the OPL library card number linked to that email is yours (I can't be certain since I don't have your name or library card number), then the problem is simply that your card expired last September. All you need to do to renew it is go to any Omaha Public Library branch with a picture ID and current proof of address (if your driver's license is up to date, that is all you need--otherwise, bring along a recent piece of printed mail, such as a gas bill or a bank statement), and they will have your card working again in a jiffy.

After that you should have no trouble placing a hold on the book you mention. Hopefully the person who has it will return it soon!
