For the adult summer reading club: are we only to list books that a) we checked out from the library and b) that we didn't begin reading til June 1?

Thanks for asking! No, on both counts. We encourage folks to borrow Omaha Public Library books for their summer reading, but it's not required - if you have books or audiobooks from your personal collection or other libraries, log them too! For books that aren't in our collection, the "Add Title" button on your reading shelf will actually allow you to search Amazon and bring in information from there.

Summer reading has been in a 'soft launch' since May 1 - don't wait until June 1 to get credit for your reading! If you've been reading 'War and Peace' since late April and finish it in mid-June, count it. If you started a Douglas Preston novel May 23 and stayed up all night to finish it, count it. 

Don't forget to rate and review your books - providing feedback on your reading experience is one of the easiest ways to earn the virtual badges that will count for completion in this summer's reading program. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks again!
