How long do you hold items that I have requested?
If you request an item to be reserved for you, when it is ready, they will hold it for ten (10) days. During that time, if you decide you do not want it any longer, you can call the location that is holding your item and they will pull and cancel your request. You can also login to your online account, and cancel your request from the holds section of your account. If you do not notify the library within those ten days and the hold expires, the item in your record will automatically go to ‘Hold Expired’ status. At that time you will be charged a $1.00 handling fee.
