Answer

We are sorry to hear that you are having difficulty downloading our eBooks.

Please try clearing your computer’s Temporary Internet Files.  We have found that this often solves our patrons’ downloading difficulties.

To clear the Temporary Internet Files:

If you have Internet Explorer 6:

·         Open Internet Explorer

·         Go to Tools > Internet Options.

·         On the 'General' tab, in the 'Temporary Internet Files' section, click the 'Delete Files' button.

·         Check the 'Delete all offline content' checkbox.

·         Once completed, please also click the ‘Delete Cookies’ button.

·         Click 'OK'.

If you have Internet Explorer 7:

·         Open Internet Explorer

·         Go to Tools > Internet Options.

·         On the 'General' tab, in the 'Browsing history' section, click the 'Delete' button.

·         Click the 'Delete files’ button under the ‘Temporary Internet Files’ heading.

·         Click 'Yes'.

If you have Internet Explorer 8:

·         Open Internet Explorer

·         Go to Tools > Internet Options.

·         On the ‘General’ tab, click ‘Delete’ under Browsing History.

·         In the Delete Browsing History dialog box, click to clear all of the check boxes except for the Temporary Internet Files check box, and then click Delete.

·         Click ‘OK’.

Once this has been done, please delete the title from your OverDrive Media Console and download it again from your library account.

If that does not fix the problem, please resubmit your question with the following information:

·         Your name

·         Your library card number

·         Your PIN

·         Your computer’s operating system (Windows 7, Windows Vista, Mac OS X v.10.6, MAC OS X v.10.5, etc.)

·         Your computer’s browser (Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3.6, etc.)

·         The title of the book

·         The author of the book

·         The format of the book (Adobe PDF eBook, Mobipocket eBook, OverDrive MP3 Audiobook, OverDrive WMA Audiobook, etc.)

·         The version of the software you are using to access the book on your computer (Adobe Digital Editions, Mobipocket Reader, OverDrive Media Console, etc.)

·         The type of reading or listening device you are using (Sony Reader Daily Edition, Sony Reader Touch Edition, iPad, iPhone, Kobo, Literati, NOOK, NOOKcolor, Pandigital, etc.)

·         The version of the software you are using to access the book on your reading or listening device (Adobe Digital Editions, Mobipocket Reader, OverDrive Media Console, etc.)

·         The exact text of the error message

·         The steps that were taken before the error occurred

·         Have you successfully downloaded a title before? If so, has anything changed on your system since then?
