You should be able to find the information you are seeking by using the Auto Repair Reference Center database.  To access the database please visit our Resource Center page.  Under "Category", click on "Automotive & Mechanical".  Under "Databases", click on "Auto Repair Reference Center".  In the "Detail" column click on "Search".  When prompted to do so, enter the 14-digit barcode number from your library card.  Once in the database you can search for repair information by first choosing the vehicle's year, manufacturer, model, and engine, and then by clicking on the information for brakes.  Torque figures are given for numerous parts of the brakes on a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am, and we're not quite sure which figure is the one you need.

If that doesn't provide you with the information you need please contact our W. Dale Clark library in downtown Omaha by calling 444-4825.  We have a large selection of Chilton and Mitchell automotive repair manuals there, and may be able to fin what you need in them.
