Q

How do I filter for adult ebooks? I'm not interested in childrens or YA books.

I see where I can filter for different grade levels but it stops at 12.

Answer

We have introduced an improvement! E-books are now integrated in our regular catalog, so although you can still use the Overdrive search page for ebooks, you will find additional searching options by using the OPL standard catalog. Start at http://omaha.bibliocommons.com/search (the advanced search page of our catalog), and use the options in the second half of the page. To limit to adult books, use the "audience" drop-down menu, and further down you can also limit your results to e-books. You can also start at www.omahalibrary.org and, after putting in your general search terms in the "Catalog" field (right side of the page, near the top), you can filter by "audience" (check "adult") and "format" (select "Books" and then "ebooks").

I hope this is clear!  Call us at 402-444-4800 if you have any questions.
