how do i remove audiobook from ipod

I have several audiobooks from the OPL "overdrive" software downloaded and installed on my ipod. The books are expired from the OPL site, so therefore no longer listed in my account. The audiobooks are also not present on my itunes and I do not know how to delete them from my ipod.

Make sure you have your device set to 'Manually manage music'.  From the Overdrive FAQ web page:

  1. Connect your device to your computer.
  2. Open iTunes.
  3. Locate the device in the left navigation panel (under heading 'DEVICES'), and click the device.
    The 'Summary' screen is displayed.
  4. Place a checkmark next to 'Manually manage music…'.
  5. Click 'Apply'.
The iTunes 'Summary' screen refreshes, and your changes are saved.

Hopefully this will allow you to see your audiobooks through iTunes, so you can then delete what has expired.  If this doesn't solve your problem please check the Overdrive FAQ site.
