Q

Looking for info on John Henrickson jewelry store at 201 N. 16th St., in 1920-30. Any ads, photos, other info?

Working on a family history; there was a connection w/this man & I'd like to include info re: him & his store. Thanks very much! This would be great if you found anything & really appreciate it! Have done the census research on him, 1920 & 1930 but want more....

Hi!

Sounds like an interesting project!  Most of our local history and genealogy resources are located on the 3rd floor of our W. Dale Clark (Main) Library in downtown Omaha. For example, it's possible that we'd have some information on the jewelry store in our clipping or biographical files (more information on those and other resources are available here: http://guides.omahalibrary.org/content.php?pid=95259&sid=1206164)

That said, the best resource may be the Omaha World-Herald. We currently have searchable, online access to past issues of the World-Herald on a trial basis.  This resource can be temporarily accessed online in the library or outside of the library with an Omaha Public Library card and PIN number.

If you are unable to visit the library yourself, there's more information about our local research policies here: http://omahalibrary.org/books-and-resources/genealogy/localresearch/151.

Best of luck!
