What is the library plan regarding a series of books by an author where one or more of the books in the series is not carried by the library?

That is a great question!

While we try to keep as many popular series as possible, it is simply not feasible to keep each volume of every series by every author.  So some titles may get removed over time due to poor condition or poor circulation to make room for newer selections.

We do try to make sure and get new additions to series as soon as they become available, and often with the most popular authors and series we will try to have at least a paperback copy of each volume.

To suggest new items:

  1. Click Log in from the top right of any page.
  2. Select My Library Dashboard from the drop-down menu and log in when prompted.
  3. Choose Suggest a Purchase from the dashboard menu on the left.
  4. Enter the title information and click on Submit Suggestion.

However even if we no longer have the title you're looking for there is a good chance we can get it for you via Interlibrary Loan.  We will contact another library system and have them mail it to us for you.  All you would have to do is pay for the postage (not more than $7.00).

One way or another, we should be able to get the book you want.  Thanks again for your question.
