Is there a way to suspend a hold I've placed on an audio book?

For example, if I've been on a long waiting list, and am finally nearing the top, but know I am not going to be near a computer for the next few weeks, how can I let others go ahead of me without starting over at the bottom of the list?

If you have access to a computer you can go to your account page using your library card number and PIN.  Under your account overview, click on "hold requests".  Here you will see a list of those items ready for pickup or "requested items not yet available".  The attached picture file will show you that you can choose 'cancel request' or 'change status'.  Date boxes are shown to the right of these choices, and you can choose the date for your item(s) to suspend until.  Please be sure to choose your items first by checking the box just to the left of the specific item.

If you do not have access to a computer, or do not have all the information required to logon; please call your local branch and they will be happy to take care of it for you.
