Answer

On Omaha Public Library's homepage, there is a Catalog option on the blue menu bar. In the drop down menu, click on Advanced Search.  To define your search, look for the heading of limits. Underneath the LIMITS, find BY ITEM TYPE then scroll down to Playaways and click on it. If you do not want any children’s Playaway’s to show up, you will also need to Limit your search further by clicking on Adult materials under the BY SELECTION heading.  In the GENERAL KEYWORD type the word Playaway (do not add a "s") or enter a * and then press the red GO button. This will bring up an extensive list. If you are looking for a specific Playaway, you can enter the title of it in the Title Keyword field or you can enter the author in the Author Keyword field. If we own it as a Playaway it will have the title with the word [Playaway] in brackets next to it.  For a quick list of them all playaways you can just type Playaway in the subject field and then sort them once the list comes up.

  1. Do NOT have your kids search for PlayAWay under "Digital Media Search" because that brings up as the first result "The PlayBoy".

Maybe ebooks.OmahaLibrary.org could do some SearchEngineOptimization. It is not even a PlayAWay book, it is in Adobe/Kindle format.

  2. Hi Robert,
If you want to find play-a-ways, please search in our regular catalog at MyOPL.org. ebooks.omahalibrary.org is just for our downloadable eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eVideos.
