Q

I was asked for a new username and now I can't download books that are checked out.

I went to log into my account and it asked for a username. I put mine in and it said it was already in use. I then put in a different one and preceded to check out books. They did not load to my Kindle. I now think I should have not given a new username. I am very confused.

Thanks for your question!

It's true our new online catalog asks for a username the first time you use it and log in, but that actually shouldn't affect the eBook side of things.  So when you navigate to our eBook webpages, go ahead and log in with your library card number as usual - not the username.  That is actually only used when dealing with our regular catalog to find and reserve physical books and look at what you've checked out.

You can actually log in with your library card number no matter where you are at our website.  Once you've created that username, it will remember it automatically when you log in with your card.

Please let me know if you have any questions or further problems,
