Q

I am trying to find information on the McGrath Mfg Co of Omaha which manufactured farm implements in the 1940s or so.

What I have found so far is a small reference in the book Encyclopedia of American Farm Implements & Antiques By Charles H. Wendel which is available on Google and some pamphlets in the UC Davis Special Collections Library. Do you have any ideas? I am not in Omaha. Thanks for your help. Judy Mannenbach

Answer

Thank you for your question.  We do have clippings files on various Omaha businesses on the second floor of our Main Library.  However, I am unaware if there is any infromation on McGrath Mfg.  The staff on the second floor could certainly check for you.  Their direct number is 402-444-2817.  Alternatively, you could also email your question to research@omahalibrary.org.  They could then check our microfilm records and city directories for information on this company.

Please note that any in-depth research on the company may require a research fee of $20.00 sent in advance.  The staff who answer that phone number and/or email address will let you know how to proceed.

Good luck on your search!
