Answer

When the item is checked in the transit steps are: library pulls book off of shelf, puts in bin to the correct library, truck drivers pick up and deliver, receiving library checks in book and places on hold shelf.  If all copies of the requested item are checked out, then the process is the same after a copy is returned.

It usually does not take longer than 1-3 days to bring a request from another Omaha Public Library branch.  We just cannot guarantee a certain timeframe in case something happens with the delivery truck, drivers, or the weather.
