Q

Does the Omaha Public Library accept VHS tapes as donations? We have books and dvds to donate as well, but we weren't sure about the VHS.

Answer

Thank you very much for thinking of the library! Each of our 12 locations will gladly accept donated VHS tapes.

We can prepare a receipt for tax purposes as well. The majority of items donated will be sent to the Friends of the Public Library booksale which raises money for library programs. Items welcomed include: books, LP's, DVD's, newer textbooks, and books on tape or CD.

There are a few items we do ask not be brought in; magazines, encyclopedias, pamphlets, and anything moldy or water-damaged.

Thanks!
