Q

Can I donate some books that I don't read anymore?

Since I don't read them anymore, can I give them to the library so others can read them?

Answer

Thank you very much for thinking of the library!  Each of our 12 locations will gladly accept donated books.  We can prepare a receipt for tax purposes as well.  The majority of items donated will be sent to the Friends of the Public Library booksale which raises money for library programs.  Items welcomed include: books, LP's, DVD's or VHS, newer textbooks, and books on tape or CD.

There are a few items we do ask not be brought in; magazines, pamphlets, and anything moldy or water-damaged.
