Does OPL (Millard Branch) offer help in designing meetings to get girl scout badges?

Girl Scouts: Spirit of Nebraska — Badge Workshops
Bellevue Public Library has partnered with Girl Scouts - Spirit of Nebraska, to offer badge & patch workshops. Check out the Girl Scouts Collaborations website or call for more information. Brownie & Junior leaders should call Michelle (402) 293-3158; Cadette & Senior leaders should call Crystal (402) 682-6673.

Thanks for asking!

It does not appear that OPL has done formal programming with Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska in the way that BPL is offering, but youth services librarians at our branches have a history of working with troops and scouts by appointment to meet civics badge requirements and help with other projects. If you're looking for an opportunity for a Millard-area scout, I would encourage you to contact the staff at Millard directly at 402-444-4848 - children's librarian Nancy Novotny is probably a good initial contact.

I will pass on the information from GSSN to Julie Humphrey, our Youth and Family Services manager. Thanks for sharing a potential resource, and thanks for using AskOPL!
