How do my wife and I establish separate but linked accounts so that we can each hold up to 40 requests instead of having only 40 for the two of us (20 each)?
We each have our library cards with separate numbers, but our account is linked. We'd still like to be able to check out each other's books to save trips to the library.

Answer

If you already have separate accounts you are able to each hold 40 items (which I see you do!).  If you have one library card account always logged in to a shared computer, you do need to log out of that account and log in with the second library card and PIN number.

The accounts being linked is only for use within the physical library so only one card needs to be brought in and/or each person can pick up items for the other.

If you have any questions, or need clarification on anything please email me at klofgren@omahalibrary.org.  Thank you for using AskOPL.
