Answer

Thanks for asking!

With one particular exception, the library doesn't have formal social media classes scheduled anytime in the near future. You're always welcome to ask for help at your neighborhood library - we'll almost always have staff available who can point you in the right direction to get started, or you can make an appointment with a librarian to get a little more structured help.

The library's Lynda.com subscription does give you access to some good, self-paced video tutorial content that may help, too. You can access the resource here using your library card, or go through omahalibrary.org. Try a keyword search for Facebook; I would particularly encourage you to seek out a course titled Learning Facebook

If you happen to be in the very specific situation of opening a Facebook account that you'll use for business purposes, we do have a workshop scheduled Feb 1 at the Benson Branch as part of our New Year, New Business series that will focus on managing a Facebook Business Page. Information is available here; the event registration will show as full, but there should be room if you'd like to drop in.

Feel free to reply or give us a call at 402-444-4800 if you have further questions, and thanks again for using AskOPL!
