Do you accept all types up books or recycle them?

We have a room, similar to a library, full of books and journals throughout several decades. We are emptying it out and I hate to throw away good books to be put in a landfill. Do you accept all books? Or do you recycle ones you don't use? Any information would be helpful

Hi and thanks for asking

Yes, we do accept book donations--gladly!  Occasionally we add them to our collection. Otherwise, we send them to the Friends of the Library booksale; the money from those sales benefits the library. Due to limited space and high volume, the Friends do ask that encyclopedias and magazines not be donated. Items that don't sell are recycled. Since it seems you have a large amount to donate, the best drop off location is the Swanson Library, at 90th and Dodge, where the big book sale happens. Your donation is tax-deductible.

Thanks for thinking of us!
