Good afternoon, I have put a book on 'Hold' that currently has one available copy, does this mean that the hold copy will be transferred to my preferred branch? It's a little bit confusing because it says that while there is 1 available there are 3 holds. More details below.
I have put on hold 'Outliers' by Malcolm Gladwell. It says there are 4 total copies, 1 available, and 3 holds. Confused how there is 1 available "on the shelf" if 3 are on hold. In the past, I have had books transferred to the Sorensen branch but that doesn't appear that's happening with this.

Answer

I followed up on this, and called the Millard Branch, where the available copy appeared to be quietly sitting on the shelf. For whatever reason, it did not trigger a hold when it was checked in on July 1, but they have checked it in again now and it is on its way to fill the next hold (which might be you--can't be sure without knowing your barcode).

Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Best wishes,
