Hello, My name is Madison Collins and i am taking an online math class. For this math class i have to have a proctor to watch over me when I take exams. On the sheet it says librarians are able to do that. Just wondering if there is anyone available who could do that for me?
Could I come to the library to take my exams for math and have someone be my proctor.

Answer

Hi, Madison. Generally speaking yes we can proctor your test. There are some limitations. Because we have other duties we cannot sit with you for the duration of the test or guarantee that we can keep line of sight on you at all times. We don't have enough staff to do this. Whether this is acceptable will depend on whether your school will approve. This can vary from school to school.

We can set you up, give you the paper test, or enter a password for an online exam. The fees for proctoring are $10 per test if you have an Omaha Public Library Card and $25 per test if you don't. Contact the library branch location where you would like to take your exam and ask to speak to the person who handles the proctoring of tests. They will give you more detailed information. Thank you for using AskOPL.
