How do I change the pickup location for my "hold" books?

Thanks for asking! Before a requested book has triggered its hold and gone 'In Transit' to the library that you had originally specified, it's easy to change the pickup location by signing in to your library account at A direct link to your holds can be found at after going through the login prompt. There will be a drop-down menu next to each hold that will allow you to see and change the pickup location. 

Once a book is in transit or has landed on the hold shelf, the best way to change its location is by calling your neighborhood library or our Main Library at 402-444-4800. A staff member can make the necessary changes to transfer the book over at that stage, when the computer system cannot. (You can *technically* cancel and replace the hold, but beware that you'll lose your place in line - I only use that approach when I'm the only person waiting on an item.)
