What a great question!

First, if you're visiting the library please ask a librarian.  It's a big part of our job to make sure people get help with their next good read!

Outside of the library, we still have a couple of options for you.  First of all you can ask for a customized reading list.  This is a list prepared just for you by a library professional based on your reading preferences.  We'll find you not just one, but five to ten options that should fit what you're looking for, based on how you fill out the web form.

And if you'd rather find things on your own we also have a great database for you to use.  Just visit our Resource Center and scroll down a touch until you see the columns of lists, then choose "Books and Reading" under your age group.

You'll be taken to another page where there are a number of options that may work for you.  The one I recommend is NoveList.  When you click on that link (and enter your library card), you will be able to search for all kinds of titles, both by type of book, by author, or by simply describing it with a few key words.  There are many ways to find what you want.

One thing I like to do with NoveList is look for a book I've already read.  Once I've found it, the listing usually has a link to other books that are similar.  Just look for the "Read-Alike" links - by title, author, and even series.

Hopefully that should get you started.  Let us know if you need any reading help!  Thanks again for your question.
