Answer

This particular book is hardcover. The only way really to tell from the catalog is, once you are in the record for the book itself, to click on the "Full Record" tab.

At the bottom of the "Full Record" information, click on the link that says MARC Display (this is where you can see cataloger's language!). In the MARC view, look at the 020 field--if it has "pbk" at the end, it's a paperback.

If it doesn't, then it's not a paperback.

Or you can call us up and we'll check for you!  I double-checked the shelf to be sure Painted Ladies is indeed hardback. :) It is also available as a downloadable ebook, as a large-print edition (also hardback), and on CDs (audiobook).

I hope this helps!

Best wishes,
