I download books using overdrive. Can I extend the number of days from 7 to 14 days for the length of time I can keep the download?

Answer

Hello,

Here is a link to the instructions for changing the loan period in Overdrive.

This will only affect books you check out after you have made the change. (Note: the example has a 21 day option. Omaha Public Library doesn't have that time lenngth option). If you currently have a book you would like to keep longer, you will have to request it again (You'll see the option to renew a title three days before it's set to expire. A Request again button will appear under the title on your Loans page.) If there are no holds, it will allow you to check it out again.

If you run into any problems, please feel free to stop in to, or call, any branch
