Can I borrow a book on display at the Benson Branch? It's not showing as available when I try to place a hold on the book. If I go to the branch, can I check it out? Thank you.

Answer

The short answer is: YES!

Now for the long answer:

Sadly, when we put a book on display, that takes it out of the normal list we use to fill holds.  But the reason we put books on display is for people to check them out!  

Simply place your hold as normal, and then give the Benson Branch a call at 402-444-4846, and let them know the title you were looking for.  They should be able to pull it out of their display and send it along to you.  

If for some reason it doesn't let you place a hold (though it shouldn't do that), just give them a call first, and they'll pull it and place the hold for you.

Of course you can always visit them too, and pick it up yourself.  It's a great branch!
