Answer

Thanks for asking! At this time, no plans have been announced for programs or events at Omaha Public Library commemorating Laura Ingalls Wilder's 150th anniversary.

If you're avid Wilder fans and not opposed to travel, there are some interesting celebrations of her life and work around the greater Midwest this year. The South Dakota State Historical Society is dedicating their annual conference to Wilder scholarship: http://history.sd.gov/aboutus/historyconference/ The Laura Ingalls Wilder museum in Pepin, WI is throwing a birthday shindig weekend after next: https://www.facebook.com/events/615085622011518/ And last but not least, at the end of the year the North Platte Public Library is hosting a special lecture on her life and work: https://ne150.org/calendar/list/?tribe-bar-search=wilder
