Thanks for asking! There may be a record of items you have borrowed if you have previously opted in to a specific feature in the MyOPL catalog at https://omaha.bibliocommons.com/ Sign in with your library account information (barcode/PIN) and look for a section in your library dashboard called "Borrowing History." If you don't see it, you may not have chosen to activate the Borrowing History (formerly called Recently Returned) feature.

For a mix of reasons involving confidentiality, tradition, and storage space our library does not keep records of what patrons have previously borrowed once items are checked in. The company that manages our catalog does offer that feature as an optional service, and many of our users love it, but those records are kept separately and are only accessible to the user.

Now, all that said, we can usually help someone figure out the title or author of a book if they can remember even a few details - what do you remember about the book you're searching for? Fiction or nonfiction? Genre? Any details about the setting or characters? Email back and we'll see if we can't help you track it down.

Thanks again for asking, and thanks for using AskOPL!
