I am helping a refugee family. I discovered a video on how to use the library in Arabic. The family does not have a computer. Is there a place in Dale Clark where they can listen to the video?

Answer

Hello. There are a couple of possibilities. If you're speaking about viewing a DVD...yes you can view a DVD using the computers at our W. Dale Clark location.

The family would need a library card to be able to do this and the staff at Main Library would be more than happy to assist you with getting them set up with a library account. They would need to bring a photo ID for those adults getting a library card and proof of Douglas County residency such as an official piece of mail in their name. Children can also get their own library card but must accompany parents to do so.

The video of how to use the library can also be viewed online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nYe7Vt3Hd4 and once again the family is welcome to use the computers at any of our 12 locations and just needs to get a library card to be able to gain access.

Thank you for using AskOPL.
