My account shows a book past due that I've returned (A Song for Nagasaki).

You can either call your local branch or let us know what your library card number is and which library branch, or branches, you would have used to return the book. Then we can set the item status to "claim return" which stops all action. We will then set in motion a search of all relevant library branches for the item.  If the item is found, we check it in and there are no fines.  If it is not found, we make a note that we looked for it but couldn't find it.  The item remains in "claim return" status with no accruing fines and is removed from your borrower record.
