Hello. I renewed a book online by mistake. It's 'The Next Pandemic' by Ali s. Khan. I just got it yesterday so all it did was extend the due date by one additional day. Could you undo that please? Thanks.

Thank you for asking! The software that manages our catalog and inventory tracking has no function to undo/roll back a renewal, so I'm afraid that I can't help in that regard. However, items can be renewed up to four times, so you'll still have three remaining opportunities to extend the checkout so long as no one is waiting for the book. (I generally make a habit of trying to renew an item within two or three days of its due date to balance an efficient time extension with the chance to return it if I have to.) If you do still need the item after the fourth renewal, just stop by any Omaha Public Library with the book - we can check it in and check it back out to you to start the process over again.

Thanks again for asking, and thank you for using AskOPL! Please feel free to call 402-444-4800 for more information.
