Thanks for asking! There's not yet a way for patrons to place copy-specific requests on particular magazines or volumes from the public face of the library catalog. Anytime you're looking to request specific magazines, please feel free to ask the staff at your neighborhood library or call 402-444-4800. Have your library card information and the list of magazines you're looking for handy, and we'll be glad to assist you.

We also have some tools available that can assist in the search when you're not sure what particular issue of a magazine a story appeared in. The library subscribes to journal databases that index thousands of publications and return information that may range from a simple citation about the article to a full-text transcript or even PDF scan of the document. You can access these information tools from home using your library card information, too. People magazine is available in full-text from MasterFILE Complete. With a bit of searching, I'm pretty sure this is the correct article:

Westfall, Sandra Sobieraj. "JENNA BUSH HAGER & LAURA BUSH 'Grammy' and Her Girls." People 85, no. 23 (May 30, 2016): 65.

With a bit of luck, you'll be able to link directly to the article by clicking here then putting in your library card information. Click on "PDF Full-Text" to see the article as it would have appeared on the magazine page.

If that doesn't work, at least we've narrowed it down to the May 30 2016 issue of People! Give a call at 402-444-4800 (or email back with which library you'd like to have a copy sent to) and we can make arrangements to get the magazine requested for you.

Thanks for using AskOPL!
