Q

I have a book on hold and it says I have to pick up by Wednesday. Does that mean I can pick it up on Wednesday or do I have to pick it up before then?

Answer

Thanks for asking! If everything is working according to plan, the book will remain on the hold shelf for you all day Wednesday. We would pull the item from the holdshelf Thursday morning before the library opens and either reshelve it or send it along to the next person on the waiting list. So you can certainly pick it up on Wednesday!

If you're worried that you won't be able to get the book in time, give a call to your neighborhood library or call our Main Library at 402-444-4800 and we'll talk through our options. Thanks for using AskOPL!
