I'm interested in a documentary done by Pureland Pictures titled "Daddy Don't Go" and Omar Epps was one of the makers. Often materials listed by Leo Adam Biga about Omaha are not items I can find in the Omaha Library system. Is this availaable through interlibrary loan or by some other means?

It appears that it is not yet available for purchase (and consequently no library has it): http://www.purelandpictures.com/shop/daddy-dont-go. You could suggest this for purchase by Omaha Public Library, once it becomes available; you can do that here (once you log in you will be taken to a page where you can fill in the details of your request and also track it).

For other items, yes you certainly can request books, DVDs, and CDs through interlibrary loan, as long as they weren't published in the last 12 months (most libraries won't lend new items; they want their own patrons to get a chance at them first). You will find more details about this procedure here: http://omahalibrary.org/my-library/interlibrary-loan The service is free to all OPL cardholders in good standing, but you would have to pay the postage for shipping the item back.

I hope this answers your questions!

Best wishes,

Martha/Main Library
