I need to help my vision-impaired mother take an online test. Would the Do Space be able to accomodate us for this?

We would need to be able to sit side-by-side and I may need to read things aloud for her.

Thanks for asking! I'm near-certain Do Space will be happy to support you and your mother in this, but since they're actually independent from Omaha Public Library I can't speak on their behalf. Please give them a call at 402-819-4022 or email to be sure.

Most Omaha Public Library locations should be able to take care of you, too! Do Space will have an advantage in that their computer systems may be more up-to-date with the web browsers and software needed to take the online test, but all library locations have public computers and many library locations even have computer stations equipped with tools for the visually impaired. I would particularly recommend the Swanson Branch library at 9101 W Dodge Road. Call 402-444-5492 if you'd like to make an appointment there or be sure their setup meets your needs.

All of our libraries also have wireless internet access in case it would be convenient for you two to work together at a laptop computer.

Thank you for using AskOPL! Feel free to email back or call 402-444-4800 with further questions.
