Q

How do I reserve a book online and have it sent to a specific library?

A book I want is at the South library but I would like to pick it up at Abraham's. How do I do that?

Answer

This is one of the really cool features of our on-line catalog.

Here's how it works:  First find the item you want.  Then look for the "Place Hold" to the right of the title in the list of search results, or, if you have clicked on the title to reveal more information, there will be a blue "Place a hold" button to the left.  Click on either of those. If you haven't already logged into your account, you will be asked to do so.  You will also be given the chance to specify your pick-up location before you confirm the hold.

You will be able to see your holds by choosing "My OPL" in the top blue bar, plus you will receive a notification when the item has arrived.  Email notification is quickest (you may want to see if your account is set up this way).
