Omaha Reads program?

I have heard of the Omaha Reads program that I thought was put on by the Omaha Public Library, but I can't find anything on the library web site about the current program or past selections. I thought that I saw in the World Herald that Elenor & Park was the 2015 selection but I'm not sure and I also wanted to go back and read the prior selections but can't find a list. Would it be possible to put information about this program and the current and past selections on the library web site. I am trying to read the "One Book One Nebraska" selections, and that list is easily found on the sponsor's web site. Thank you.

Thanks so much for your question!

The Omaha Reads program has had a few different iterations over the years, and has sometimes having been combined with other reading programs or had the books chosen a different way.  In its current form, the list goes back to 2011, and includes:

2015 - Eleanor & Park - Rainbow Rowell
2014 - The Meaning of Names - Karen Gettert Shoemaker
2013 - In Cold Blood - Truman Capote
2012 - Age of Innocence - Edith Wharton
2011 - Wait Till Next Year: A Memoir- Doris Kearns Goodwin

We're working to adding the list of winners to our website, as you suggested.  Thanks again for both the question and the reminder that we need to make this list more public!
