Q

Can you get books on line? More specifically, check books out and receive them on my I pad to read?

My mom does this through the Kansas City public library and loves it!

Answer

You certainly can! You can browse for them here: http://www.omahalibrary.org/books-and-resources/downloads, but they are also integrated in our regular online catalog--they will appear as "downloadable ebook." You can also search for books and then limit by format at the left-hand side of the screen to see just the downloadable books.  To download books, you will need the Overdrive app; I would suggest first looking at the ereader help: http://guides.omahalibrary.org/overdrive. That will give you a link to the app and also describe how to check out and download these books.

Enjoy!
