Q

how do I put a hold on multiple copies of a book?

My book club is reading the Day We Met, by Rowan Coleman. I wanted to put more than one copy on hold to check out and share with other members. 3 would be great :)

Call up any branch and a librarian can do it for you by reserving specific copies. It looks like there are only two copies of this book currently available, however. I would also suggest caution in lending books that are checked out on your card, because you will be responsible for them--but you know your friends best! :)

We do have book bags to lend, specifically for book clubs. These are bags containing 10 or so copies of the same book, and they check out for 6 weeks--enough so that you can hand them out at one meeting and then collect them at the next meeting (of a monthly book club). Unforturnately we do not have a bookclub bag for The Day We Met (although suggestions for new purchases are always welcome), but this might be a good option for future. Read more about this here.

Best wishes and happy New Year!
