There used to be a resturant on the south west cornor of 72nd Dodge street that was a well known steak house whose owners last name was Jensen. I belive it was there until at least the 1970's

Thanks for asking! I've used our subscription to the Omaha World-Herald digital archives to track this one down. You can use that resource from home, too, with your library card, or visit the W. Dale Clark library downtown to check old city directories and other local history tidbits.

Among Omaha's many prominent steakhouses, it looks like Kenny's Steak House at 72nd and Dodge was a real standout. Peter Citron, food critic for the World-Herald in the 70s, wrote articles praising the restaurant in 1976 and 1979. I've attached one to this message, along with an article from 1969 discussing minimum wage for restaurant servers that quotes Kenneth Jensen, owner of Kenny's at the time.
