I am looking for photos of B-25 not B-26 aircraft that were at the Martin Aircraft Moodification Center near Omaha during WWII. A number of these were sent there for work prior to deployment and I was hoping there might be some examples on film in your collection.

I was able to find a number of photographs of B-26's at Martin in the mid 1940's from the Durham Museum Photo Archive as well as some B-25 photos from the South Omaha Airport in 1967.

http://durhammuseum.contentdm.oclc.org - From here it will ask you to register, but you may also view as a guest. I searched for "Martin Bomber" and was able to find the B-26 photographs.

I would also try contacting the Strategic Air & Space Museum, which has an exhibit on the Martin plant - 402.944.3100 - the Durham Museum (402) 444-5071, the Douglas County Historical Society (402) 455-9990, or our Nebraska Reference collection number (402) 444-4817. They might be able to help you track down the photographs.

  2. That would be very interesting! Did you check to see what the Sarpy County Museum (http://sarpycountymuseum.org/ has? They have a number of artifacts from the Martin plant.
