Q

I understand that the Nebraska Library Commission is no longer offering access to the Omaha World Herald to State of Nebraska employees. Does this

mean that Omaha Public Libraries will no longer be offering access to the Omaha World Herald to its patrons? This matter is of some urgency. A prompt reply would be greatly appreciated.

Answer

If you are referring to online access to archives of the Omaha World-Herald then yes, we will still be offering that access.  The Omaha Public Library will continue to subscribe to the Proquest Newsstand database, which contains full-text articles from the Omaha World-Herald going back to 1983.  We will also continue to subscribe to the paper edition of the Omaha World-Herald, and to receive microfilm copies of past issues.
