Can homeschooled students or teachers receive a library card with legal state documentation?

Thanks for asking! If the students or teachers are Douglas County residents, it's quite simple. With photo ID and proof of address for adults, or with photo ID and proof of address from the parents/guardians of minor children, residents are able to receive library cards at no cost. For homeschooling in a single family, it's a simple but effective approach. If a teacher is working with a multi-family group we can apply a variant of the process we would use for a classroom, daycare, or business. So one way or another, we'll have a solution! Also see this subject guide for some resources developed specifically for our homeschooling patrons, and please feel free to call 402-444-4800 or your neighborhood library for more assistance.
